Our first trip: Sandymount (18.07.2012)

Last wednesday we went on our first trip with our outdoor education class to Sandymount in Dunedin. We drove together with Ms Fletcher and Ms Main to the Peninsula. When we got out off the car, we had a very nice view over the most photographed scenery of New Zealand. Then our adventure began. First we climbed up Sandymount. On top we took a group photo and had a little break. From that point we went down through sand dunes and mud and around the hill. We stopped at a viewpoint, from which we could see the amazing Lovers Leap. Next we hiked through a beautiful scenery and we could see lots of sheep.
The whole trip took about an hour and a half and it was about 3.1kilometres long.
At the end we were exhausted, but it was a great afternoon.
